Built in 1934, this classic Biltmore Forest home was designed in an era when the kitchen was a service space: a narrow galley meant for maids and butlers, closed off from the rest of the house. Our clients wanted to open it up and make every square foot work harder for the way they live today.
The homeowner was candid with us: cooking didn’t come naturally, and making a meal often felt chaotic. So we designed the kitchen around calm. A well-organized layout that flows puts everything right where it’s needed, and a soft, grounding palette of sage green cabinetry and natural materials makes the room feel restful instead of rushed.
Throughout the home, we updated every bathroom and living space while preserving the timeless Southern character that makes this 1934 home special.
